The Bachelor of Medical Electronic Engineering Technology with Honours programme is designed to cover the electrical engineering discipline with an emphasis on the field of medical electronics. Students would undergo an academic curriculum consisting of modules in mathematics, the fundamentals of electricity, electronics, and solid-state devices. In addition, the programme also offers specialised modules in the areas of Anatomy and Physiology, Biomedical Sensors and Transducers, Biomedical Signal Processing, Biomedical Instrumentation & Measurement and Biomedical Imaging. Towards the end of the programme, students will go through a Web-Based Learning course that includes Hospital and Maintenance Management, Maintenance of Imaging Equipment, Maintenance of General Biomedical Equipment, Maintenance of Critical Care, Maintenance of Laboratory Equipment and Final Year Project 1 and 2.Apart from delivering technical knowledge and skills, the programme also emphasises the development of the individual student’s potential in an integrated and holistic manner through courses such as Falsafah dan Isu Semasa, Co-curriculum, Foreign Language, and Entrepreneurship.

As the technology in healthcare continues its rapid growth and its utilization role in diagnostic, therapeutic, and medical research activities continues to expand, the demand for skilled biomedical technologists also rises in tandem.
Biomedical technologists are highly sought after to work in the healthcare industry, mainly in the operation and maintenance of medical equipment, computer and electronic equipment and also in machinery manufacturing industries. They provide consultation service and maintain the medical equipment. They also work in product evaluation and testing, using measuring and diagnostic devices to adjust, test and repair medical equipment. Syarat Khas Program
1. Lulus pengajian peringkat Diploma Politeknik yang berkaitan ;ATAU
2. Lulus pengajian peringkat Diploma Teknologi yang berkaitan daripada Kolej Komuniti dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya HPNM 2.00 ;ATAU
3. Lulus pengajian peringkat Asasi TVET Politeknik dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya HPNM 2.00 ;ATAU
4. Lulus pengajian peringkat Matrikulasi KPM / Asasi dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya PNGK 2.00 ;DAN
5. Calon perlu memperoleh kelulusan Band 3.0 dalam Malaysian University English Test (MUET) dalam tempoh pengajian sebagai syarat bergraduat ;DAN
6. Calon TIDAK mempunyai ketidakupayaan fizikal / anggota sehingga menyukarkan kerja-kerja amali ;DAN
