Pengenalan Kursus
"Mechatronics can be succinctly defined as “a mechanical system augmented by electronic controls.” Essentially, mechatronics is a multidisciplinary branch of engineering that merges electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, control engineering, and information technology. Put simply for everyday understanding, mechatronics fuses these engineering disciplines to facilitate the creation, advancement, and application of ""intelligent devices"" in a unified, cross-disciplinary manner.
At its core, the philosophy of mechatronics lays down foundational principles for a modern approach to engineering design. This contemporary methodology dictates that both products and processes in engineering should encompass components that necessitate the precise control and manipulation of dynamic (moving) constructs. To achieve this, the design methodology emphasizes the fusion of pivotal technologies like information tech and control engineering. One of the most crucial elements in this design process is the seamless integration of advanced microelectronics and software engineering into mechanical and electromechanical systems.
This program, specifically, is a harmonious blend of electrical engineering and automotive engineering. Throughout their academic journey, students are instilled with a deep comprehension of pivotal areas such as:
