Hairdresser can come from and represent the following areas: colour experts, personal shoppers, holistic and well-being experts, fashion styling, a clothing/apparel/ eyewear/ accessories designer, nail stylists, interior consultants, makeup and skincare, corporate and social etiquette and protocol consultant, branding specialists, media consultants and many other areas. They may advise/guide not only corporate clients and trainers but also politicians, the media
and their various personalities, and professional speakers, children, adolescents, undergraduates, graduates and post-graduates. Hence there is a need for a clear definition of the core competencies and standards of efficiency.
