Pengenalan Kursus

COURSE OBJECTIVE
To develop participants with knowledge, skills and competency in handling and maintenaning of low voltage system (Without Aerial Line and Synchronizing of Generators). Upon successful completion of this course, candidate will become a competent A0 Chargemen, certified by Energy Commission.

COURSE CONTENT

Module 1 : Electrical Safety
- Introduction and overview of electrical
chargeman career path, electrical Act & MS/IEC regulation and First Aid.

Module 2 : Fire Fighting System
- Introduction & overview of Fire Fighting
System, type of fire extinguishers, fire alarm
system and fixed fire fighting installation
system.

Module 3 : Basic Electrical - Basic electricity & electrical unit, DC and AC supply, single phase three phase system,
and power factor.

Module 4 : Electrical Installation
- Types of electrical instruments and tester,
electrical installation system, electrical
protection system, type of electrical installation
testing method and earthing system, and
troubleshoot motor control circuit.

Module 5 : Cable and Underground Cable
- Type of cable and low voltage underground
cable, test and troubleshoot cable, underground cable lying & jointing and determine cable size.

Module 6 : Main Switch Board
- Introduction & overview L.V main switch board,
calibrate and test electrical protection equipment, maintain & service capacitor bank, maintain & service uninterruptable power supply and layout plan /schematic circuit diagram.

Module 7 : Transformer
- Identify types and size of transformer,
knowledge on capacity, ratio, power loss
calculation, install, maintain and service power
transformer.

Module 8 : Motor and Control Devices Transformer
- Introduction to AC three phase machines,
program and wire motor control starter, maintain
and service AC machine, and test and
troubleshoot motor control circuit.

Module 9 : Air Conditioning System
- Introduction and overview RAC system, install
and troubleshoot air conditioning unit, and
maintain and service RAC system.

Module 10: Basic Automation Control
- Introduction to Programmable Logic Control
(PLC), introduction to hydraulic-pneumatic
system, and maintain and service hydraulic-
pneumatic system.

PREREQUISITES
SPM certificate with pass in Bahasa Malaysia and Mathematics, 3 years experience in Electrical field with live/non-live system/equipment. Need to present log book.

1. Bekerja tidak kurang daripada tiga (3) tahun dalam persekitaran dimana terdapat pengendalian kelengkapan elektrik dan mempunyai pengalaman mengawal kelengkapan hidup Memiliki buku log yang lengkap berkaitan kerja-kerja pengendalian kelengkapan elektrik dan mengawal kelengkapan hidup bagi tempoh pengalaman di atas, yang telah disahkan oleh orang kompeten berkaitan dan juga majikan. Mempunyai penyata KWSP atau SOCSO, bukti pengalaman kerja tiga (3) tahun tersebut atau lebih.
