This program is designed to provide students with the essential knowledge and hands-on skills in building construction, focusing on practical applications and professional education to develop future educators in the TVET field. The curriculum provides a balanced mix of theoretical understanding and hands-on experience, preparing students to succeed as TVET educators and the construction industry.
Students will begin by studying the basics of construction through courses such as Construction Materials, Building Construction, Mechanics of Materials, and Structure. As they progress, they will specialize in more advanced topics like Construction Contract and Estimation, Building Services and Maintenance, and Construction Technology, giving them a well-rounded understanding of the construction process from start to finish.
In addition to technical skills, the program incorporates educational components to prepare students for careers as TVET educators. This includes developing the ability to teach, manage, and mentor students in construction-related disciplines. The overall aim of the program is to produce skilled construction professionals and qualified educators who can support the growth of the TVET sector.
